Dior Rouge Blush 439 Why Not Review

The Dior Rouge Blush gives an intense, ultra pigmentated buildable colour to the cheeks, which will last all day. This range of iconic blush shades is inspired by the legendary Rouge Dior Lipstick. With these blushers the colour intensity can be adjusted to give a softer or bolder look.

The blushers come in 15 shades, with shades ranging from soft pink, deep plum, coral and nudes. The blushers come in three different finishes matte, satiny and iridescent and the texture of these blend seamlessly onto the skin for a flawless finish.

When Dior released their Autumn 2018 collection, they released these blushers, which had been reformulated and new shades added. When they released them I purchased my first blush from Dior, which was the shade 330 Rayonnante, which you can find a review of here.

I was invited to have my makeup done at my local Dior Backstage counter in October last year. When she was doing my makeup the blush she chose for the makeup look was 439 Why Not, which is a shade I would never have thought to go for, as it looks quite bright and quite a different shade to what I would usually go for. She told me she had chosen this colour, as she thought it would suit my fair skin. When she applied it, I absolutely loved it and purchased it.

The compact comes in a velvet pouch, which I actually keep it in. On the front of the compact in silver lettering is Dior. Inside the compact lid is a good sized mirror.

All of the blushers have CD wrote in 3D in the actual blush, which I really like.

It comes with a little brush, which has CD on the handle. The brush feels lovely quality, but I don’t use it, as it doesn’t have the right shaped brush head for what I like to use to apply my blush.

Dior Rouge Blush in 439 Why Not is a peachy shade with gold shimmer running through it, in a satin finish. I absolutely love the mix of peach and gold, they look beautiful together. It adds a lovely pop of colour to the cheeks and then the gold shimmer adds a touch of glow, without it being too much. I have found this shade to be so wearable and one that I have reached for so much. I think this blush can be worn for a daytime or evening look.

Like I said before it looks quite a bright shade in the compact, but with the Dior blushers they have good pigmentation and are ones that can be built up to the colour intensity you want. So even though this is a bright shade which can be worn as a bold look, you can wear it as a softer look as well, which is what I personally go for. One of the reasons I love both of the Dior blushers I own, is that they have the buildable formula, which I really like, as I can build it up to the colour intensity I want.

The blushers have a lovely soft formula, which applies so easily and blends out seamlessly. Also they look flawless on the skin.

Since buying this blush shade I have worn it so much, as I love the buildable formula, the shade is gorgeous and one that suits my fair skin. It is such a different colour to any of my other blushers I have in my collection. I definitely need to add more of the Dior blushers into my collection, as they are one of my favourite blush formulas. They also have so many pretty shades, which are different to what I already own.

This is available to buy from your local Dior counter, Boots UK for £36.
