My Summer Beauty Essentials

Summer has taken quite a bit of time to arrive in the UK this year, unlike last year when we had a heat wave for 3 months. In today’s post I am sharing with you some of my Summer beauty essentials. There were so many products I could have talked about in this post, but managed to narrow it down, otherwise this post would have been very long.

I will be talking a bit about each product, linking to any full reviews and swatches and I have some swatches in this post as well.

On warmer days I like to wear a much lighter base, which gives me a bit of coverage and is lightweight. The product I reach for is Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream (review), which does exactly this and more. It looks so beautiful on the skin, has SPF protection, colour corrects and keeps the skin hydrated.

I find the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise are perfect for the warmer months, with them being a cream product. I already owned Jean and recently added Rose Gold to my collection. I find these are so easy to use, quick and you can create a beautiful eye look with them.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Love Glow is a beautiful pink coral shade with gold shimmer running through it, so gives a pop of colour to the cheeks and a bit of a glow as well. Also Dior Rouge Blush in 330 Rayonnanate (review and swatch), is a coral shade with gold shimmer running through it, which again adds that pop of colour, but this is a shimmerier blush, so adds more glow to the cheeks.

I have chosen a couple of lipsticks, the Dior Addict Stellar Shine 267 Twinkle (review and swatch), a pink shade, which is hydrating on the lips, adds shine and a pop of colour. Mac Lipstick in Plink!, which is a coral shade in the lustre finish, so adds a lovely colour to the lips.

Nail Polish

Essie In Full Swing- Superdrug and UltaEssie Let It Glow- Ella GrayOPI Flip Flops & Crop Tops- Ella Gray

In the Summer months I love wearing a bright or coral shade nail polish on my nails. I always associate those colours with the Summer months. Essie In Full Swing (review, swatch and comparisonsis from their recent Summer collection and is a bright peach shade. Essie Let It Glow (review and swatchreleased last year and is a bright coral pink shade with gold shimmer running through it. OPI Flip Flops and Crop Tops is a bright pink shade.

Skincare/Body Care

The Body Shop Aloe products- The Body Shop UKThe Body Shop USThe Body Shop Wild Argan Oil- The Body Shop UKThe Body Shop USDove- Boots UKNivea- Boots UKFragrance Direct UK

The suncream I have being using for quite a few years now is Nivea Sun Moisturising Sun Spray, which I use for my SPF protection all over my body, but not on my face though. I still need to find a specific face SPF that works for my skin, so let me know any recommendations you have. I find it easy to apply, it doesn’t leave a white cast and I like the smell of this one.

I always use body butter all year round, but with my skin being exposed to the sun more, I like to make sure my skin is kept well moisturised. I use a few different ones, but one of my favourites is The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil, which I find is nourishing, so moisturising and I love the scent.

I also use gradual tan all year round, but I apply it more often in the Summer months, to maintain it. I have used Dove’s gradual tans for quite a few years now, as I find they deliver the right amount of colour that I want, it’s moisturising, lasts well and I like the scent. The one I am using at the moment is Dove Visible Glow self tan lotion.

A product I discovered last year is The Body Shop Aloe Multi-Use Soothing Gel, which is great for soothing skin irritations and also if you catch the sun, this really cools and soothes the area.

The last product is The Body Shop Aloe Sheet Mask (review), which was released this year and I find it so soothing and cooling on the skin, which is perfect especially for those warmer days.
