My Favourite Concealers

*PR Gift- Charlotte Tilbury very kindly gifted me the concealer

Concealer is a makeup product I use on a daily basis, to cover any blemishes and my dark under eye circles. I have four favourite concealers in my collection that are my go to and ones that I love and would re purchase. I have two concealers I use for my blemishes and two others that I use for my under eye circles.

I have a few things I look for in a concealer, I want it to look natural, flawless on the skin, to be full coverage, long lasting, lightweight, not crease and for the under eye area brightening if possible. For the two concealers I use on blemishes I like to set with a pressed powder and the two concealers I use on my under eye area, a loose setting powder to set with. Also all of these concealers work on my dry skin.

I will be talking a bit about each concealer and will link to any full reviews, with swatches I have done.

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer is described as a natural looking, high coverage and long wearing in a soft matte finish. Its formula is non-drying and the soft focus smoothing complex blurs, conceals and smooth’s imperfections. The concealer has been formulated with Vitamin A, C and E and helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while replenishing the skin. It has a lightweight formula which contains uniquely structured powders that lay flat to stay in place without settling into any pores or fine lines.

This concealer is one that I use on my blemishes. It has a lovely creamy formula, which I like to apply and blend out using my finger. It covers any blemishes and redness I have fully. It looks so natural, flawless on the skin and I love the soft matte finish it has, which is the perfect finish for when using over those blemishes. It feels very lightweight on the skin and will stop in place all day.

Marc Jacobs Accomplice Concealer and Touch Up Stick

Available: Harvey Nichols £24, Marc Jacobs Beauty $32

Marc Jacobs Accomplice Concealer and Touch Up Stick, which is a longwear creamy concealer and touch up stick, which gives full coverage. They say it covers and blends seamlessly for skin that looks totally natural. You can layer this under or over makeup and it will blur the look of pores, fine lines and imperfections, whilst hiding any dark circles, blemishes and uneven skin tone. It has been formulated with snow mushroom, to give smooth hydrated looking skin without telltale creasing or caking.

This concealer is one that I use on my blemishes. The concealer stick at the top has a little dip, so your finger fits in perfectly to pick up the product with. I get the product on my ring finger and then apply to the area where needed and blend out the concealer using the finger as well. This is a really creamy formula, even creamier than the Nars one I spoke about previously. It fully covers any blemishes and the redness of them as well. It looks so flawless and natural on the skin. It feels so lightweight and will last all day long.

Mac Pro longwear Concealer

This concealer is one I use on my under eye area. I usually dab a bit of concealer onto my under eye area and anywhere else it’s needed, using my finger and then use a damp small Real Techniques Mini Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend it in. It blends out so effortlessly and fully covers my dark under eye circles. It has a nice matte finish, which looks really natural and gives your skin a flawless finish. It feels so lightweight, it does not crease at all on me or sink into any fine lines and it lasts all day long.

Extract of Wild Indigo is a native Indian plant which is used in ayurvedic tradition. It helps to enhance your skin’s luminosity and brighten the under eye area.

I used the applicator to put the product onto my under eye area and then blend out using the damp small Real Techniques Mini Miracle Complexion Sponge. It blends out so effortlessly. It has a lovely creamy formula, which looks so natural and flawless. This is a full coverage concealer, which brightens the under eye area, doesn’t crease or sink into any fine lines.
