Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush Petal Poppin Review

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna released some cream blushes and bronzers the other month to her makeup range. I have loved Rihanna’s music for years and have most of her albums in my collection. Her makeup brand Fenty Beauty, has been on my list to try for so long. When I saw swatches of the one of the new cream blushes and read the good reviews on them, I couldn’t resist adding my first Fenty Beauty product to my collection.

She has also recently released some new lipsticks called Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick and I have bought the shade Makeout Break, which I loved the look of and I really like the sound of the formula of these lipsticks. I will be doing a full review and swatch soon.

The Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush is described on their website as “a light as air, non greasy cream blush that instantly melts into the skin for an effortless wash of colour, giving life to all skin tones with a no fuss, natural looking flush in 10 sheer shades”. They say the 10 shades are designed to enhance every complexion with a youthful glow.

The blushes may look vivid in the pan, but actually have a sheer, buildable finish that melts into the skin. They say it has a sweat and water resistant formula that will smooth over the skin and won’t leave it feeling sticky or greasy.

On the front of the compact in small black writing it says Fenty Beauty and behind that writing it says Cream in big silver writing.

I like that this is a smaller blusher, for a few different reasons. A cream product is always going to go off quicker than a powder, so you don’t want as much product. I think the compact is a perfect size for taking away on holiday with you.

When you open the compact up, it has a good size mirror just inside the lid.

This is a pretty pink coral shade, with some tiny gold shimmers running through it. This blush shade adds a beautiful pop of pink coral colour to the cheeks and I find this colour really suits my light skin tone. The gold shimmer running through it, you can see when you look close up. This blusher looks so flawless on the skin and it gives a beautiful radiant glow finish to the skin.

With this cream blusher it has a buildable formula, which I really love, as you can build it up till you get the amount of colour you want. I like to just apply a bit to begin with and then add more, until I get the look I’m wanting. The shade looks quite bright in the pan, but it doesn’t look that bright on, as it is a sheer buildable formula.

This blusher has a really lovely creamy formula. It’s really easy to apply and I like to use my finger to apply it. I like to dab the product onto my cheek, before starting to blend it out, still using my finger. You could use a sponge to apply and blend it out if you didn’t want to use your finger.

The blusher feels so lightweight on the skin it doesn’t leave it sticky or greasy. I have found that this cream blush wears really well and at the end of the day only a bit of the blusher has worn off. We’ve had some really warm weather recently and I did wear this blusher, so got to see how it wears and found it wore the exact same.

I love the colour, formula, finish of this blusher and how it looks on my skin. I have found it so quick and easy to apply. I think this cream blusher is perfect for creating a day time look and when you want to create a quick makeup look.

This is available to buy from Boots UKHarvey Nichols £19, Fenty Beauty $20.00.
