Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat Softening, Ginger Recovery Revitalising and Honey Treasures Strengthening Shampoo Bars Reviews

*PR products- Garnier very kindly sent me the Shampoo Bars and storage box

Garnier released their first solid shampoo bars with zero plastic waste towards the end of last year. At the start of the year I bought the Coconut and Organic Aloe Vera shampoo bar and loved it. You can find a review on that shampoo bar hereLast month Garnier very kindly sent me all four shampoo bars and a storage box. I was happy to have a back up of the Coconut and Organic Aloe Vera shampoo bar and excited to try the other three shampoo bars out.

They have four different shampoo bars, each one suitable for different hair types. There is Coconut for normal hair, Honey Treasures for damaged hair prone to breakage, Ginger Recover for weak and dull hair and Delicate Oat for sensitive scalp and fragile hair.

They say the shampoo bar will last up to 2 months. I think how long this lasts you will depend on how often you use it and how much of it you use depending on your hair length.

How to use: they say to wet your hair and the shampoo bar to make it foam. Hold the shampoo bar and lather from roots to tips. Keep massaging the scalp and rinse thoroughly.

When I ordered one of the shampoo bars from Boots UK, you got a free storage box with any purchase of a Garnier shampoo bar. This offer is still available.

This storage box is perfect for storing the shampoo bar in. I think it’s great that Garnier have made this storage box, as you then don’t have to worry about how you are going to store it.

Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat Softening Shampoo Bar

Available: Boots UKLookfantastic UKFeelunique £7.99

The Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat Softening Shampoo Bar is for sensitive scalp and fragile hair. It is blended with Oat Milk (sourced from the UK), Rice Cream and is a vegan formula. The shampoo bar is 94% plant based and has a 97% biodegradable formula. It is silicone free for a natural feel.

Oat Milk and Rice Cream are blended in a gentle solid recipe to hydrate and soften the feel of hair. It leaves the hair nourished, shiny and healthier looking.

It has a really lovely scent, which you can smell whilst using. I find the shampoo bars really lather up, just like a normal shampoo would. The shampoo bars are really easy to use and they don’t take me any longer than when I use my other shampoos.

After the first use of this shampoo bar I noticed a difference with my hair and each time I have used it. My hair is left feeling silky soft and has a lovely shine to it. My hair feels hydrated, even the end of my hair feels nourished. My hair is less frizzy, smoother, so is easier to style.

My scalp can be a bit sensitive and itchy. When my scalp is feeling itchy, I have used this shampoo bar and it stops my scalp from feeling itchy and my scalp doesn’t feel as dry as it was.

Ultimate Blends Ginger Recovery Revitalising Shampoo Bar

The Garnier Ultimate Blends Ginger Recovery Revitalising Shampoo Bar is for weak and dull hair. It is blended with Ginger Root Extract, Almond Oil and is a vegan formula. The shampoo bar is 94% plant based and has a 97% biodegradable formula. It is silicone free for a natural feel.

Ginger Root Extract and Almond Oil are blended in a solid recipe to nourish and revitalise the feel of hair. It leaves the hair nourished, shiny and healthier looking.

Just like with the other shampoo bars, this one lathers up great as well. You can smell the ginger when using and I can smell it a bit afterwards.

My hair is left silky soft and feeling really nourished. The hair is healthier looking and has a beautiful shine to it. My hair isn’t weak, so I can’t comment on that.

Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strengthening Shampoo Bar

The Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strengthening Shampoo Bar is for damaged hair prone to breakage. It is blended with sustainably sourced Honey, sustainably sourced Beeswax, plant based nourishing ingredients and is a vegan formula. The shampoo bar is 94% plant based and has a 97% biodegradable formula. It is silicone free for a natural feel.

Honey and Beeswax are blended in a solid recipe to nourish and restore hair. It leaves the hair nourished and protected from breakage.

Just like with the other shampoo bars this one lathers up great as well. It does have a scent to it, which I can only smell whilst using.

My hair isn’t damaged or prone to breakage, so I can’t comment on that. When I’ve used this shampoo bar it has left my hair feeling soft and nourished.

I love the Garnier shampoo bars, it’s just like using a normal shampoo, but with these you have zero plastic waste, which is so much better for the environment. I find them so easy to use and have noticed a difference with my hair with each use. I would say my favourite two are the Coconut and Organic Aloe Vera and Delicate Oat. These two work best for my hair type.

Leave me a comment below. Have you tried any of the new Garnier shampoo bars? Have you tried any shampoo bars from any other brands?

  2. Do they have conditioner bars as well? I love shampoo bars for when travelling as they don't take up any liquid space! I do find though shampoo bars lather really well but conditioner ones not so much so am intrigued! xx
